No training in queue!

Well I let my training queue run out again last night! For about 4 hours nothing was training. I have gotten on and now have 2d and 11hrs of learning skills dropped. After this batch is done all 11 learning skills will be at lvl 3 and above. 7 at lvl 4 and 4 at lvl 3. Then I will get started on what I need to loadout my BS. Hopefully all this training will shorten the time they take to train!

Update

OK, the issue with UT and the 7 learning skills is resolved I believe! Here is what we came up with. There are 7 basic learning skills that 4 of which have to be trained up to level 4 to allow training on the other 4 of 11.

Here is an interesting point, UT has decided that Amarr was probably not the best choice for a race. Why? you ask, because we went and ran a mission of mine with me and he was attacking with what seemed to be a BB-Gun. Then I was twice as far away and was shooting missiles and he said it was awesome! Well he then found out that he had the smallest laser available and has since upgraded I think. Also we discussed the fact that he could cross train to fly other race's ships and use their weaponry. It may be a lot more training to get all the skills learned to cross train, but if you are to a comfortable spot then it wouldn't hurt. He did right I think picking that race because he needed to train for CEO and the Amarr were more ready for the commanding lead.

I am dropping skills daily trying to get all of my learning skills up to 4 before training on anything else. In 34-36 days I have only let my training queue stop once for about 4 hours. I still have more than that left, so looooooong game, but very fun...

What about learning skills?

I was talking to UT and he said his character only shows 7 skills in learning that he can train total. I think he is Minmatar. I went with Calidari and I show 11 learning skills total that I can train on. I have 7 already trained and most to lvl 4. My question is should I go for the other 4 available and will it further shorten the training times of other skills? If so I am going to stop training for everything else, but learning till I get all learning to lvl 4. Then I will concentrate on other things. Any opinions from people that have played longer than I?

Getting more knowledge of the game!

Ok, I came into some Isk from a guy quiting the game and so I shared the wealth. I gave some odd hundred million isk to the corp, then concentrated on buying the ships I knew I wanted to end up with. I know now I could have waited to see if our fellow Eve gamers could have built my desired ship cheaper than what I had paid for them. I now have in my possession the following ships:

3 shuttles (use)

1 Kestrel (use)

1 Caracal (use)

1 Badger (use)

1 Drake Battle cruiser (not loaded out, but can fly it)

1 Rokh Battleship (not loaded out, but will be able to fly in 1 day)

1 Hulk (cant use for a while) may end up donating to someone in the corp that wants to be a miner as primary skill..... let me know.

Starting game play!

I started playing not knowing anything about how to build up skills or training que or what ship to get. I started buying and training on skills just because I had them or could afford them. To date I have 89 skills and like 10 more I cant use that I really do need. Yes, Yes I know I have more than I needed, but oh well. Too late to worry about that now. I chose the Calidari race as Male and so did MIA_Bandit. He is mainly looking at mining and I am about two days from flying the Rokh (battleship). I will not be able to load it out for a while since there are many skills needed yet to get the accessories needed. I went on battleclinic and found the best rating on loadouts for the Rokh pvp/mission ship I could and believe I found a good one. I will post it later. Maybe tomorrow morning. I have loaded out a kestrel for lvl 1 missions. It works great! Now I am working on a Caracal. Its close to being ready, for solo mission 2's that is. Still need to train some missile skills first.

My start in EVE

Ok, this is the 3rd time I am attempting this! I started Eve around 30 days ago after talking with UnderTaker. He told me about it and what all was involved and he got my curiosity immediately. He also told me that DeadMan was in it which further sparked my desire to play. I have met DM and his better half DG and they are very nice people. We met at a clan BBQ at UT's house and they have been in the clan since the early developement days and have helped out a lot. Anywho after this I didn't wait. I bought it for myself and MIA_Bandit or Boogy_man (my son) which a lot of you know, and was overwhelmed by the magnitude of what can be done to shape the characters in this game!
